Power Outage

How did you cope when the power went out? Were you organised? What did you do?

  1. I thought it was quite exciting when the power went out. We found torches, lit candles and we turned on lots of our battery powered fairy lights.

  2. I never thought of our fairy lights - will get those out next time. That would look quite cool then.

  3. We're pretty well prepared for these things, got the candles and camp lantern out. The neighbors popped in to make sure we were OK, which was nice of them. The biggest problem we had was that we were in the middle of bidding on something on Trade Me when the power went out and bids were really slow going through because everybody else was using their mobile phones too.

    1. What nice neighbours! That is a great idea to check on neighbours, especially elderly who may live alone.

  5. I was sitting down watching TV and all of a sudden the power went out. My whole family was annoyed when the TV went off but luckily we were organised and had lots of candles light and had a few torches on. Then we played a board game until it was time to go to bed and then the power went on.
